Supernatural Horror Series Coming To Possess Sky

Gugu Mbatha-Raw stars as Claudia in Possession

The past is coming back to haunt a hot-shot lawyer – quite literally – in Possession, a brand new Sky Original thriller series.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw leads as Claudia, an ambitious young bi-racial lawyer who finds herself on a trip to Jamaica in a bid to challenge an inheritance claim filed by local resident Cudjoe East against wealthy white aristocrat Oliver Connaught.

However, her mission takes an unexpected turn when she discovers the contested estate is the Connaught family’s Jamaican former plantation, Hope Hill – the same ominous house that has been haunting her nightmares.

Watch Possession on Sky and Now later this year.

They call it a "thriller", but this trailer feels more like a supernatural horror story to me.

A great cast - headlined by Loki's Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Trainspotting's Jonny Lee Miller - and a scary-looking story, I'm instantly excited for this five-part series, probably one of only a few Sky Original's that have grabbed my attention.
