This compilation was released as part of the promotion for Evil Dead Burn, thus the segment from the current movie gets the most screen time.
I like the fact that not all of the spells read out are the same, suggesting multiple ways of raising the deadites, which really intrigues the gamer in me, always seeing the potential for bringing the Necronomicon into my own roleplaying games... no matter what the genre or setting.
And I can't help wondering what old HP Lovecraft would make of this cinematic use of the legendary, fictional tome from his tales of cosmic horror?
