Another Stunning Trailer for Ramayana

Based on the celebrated ancient epic known to billions, Namit Malhotra's Ramayana: Rise of a Legend tells the story of Rama, a prince bound by sacrifice; Ravana, an immortal king driven by vengeance; and the prophecy that binds their fates together. It stars Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi.

The film is produced by acclaimed filmmaker Namit Malhotra, whose Academy Award-winning visual effects company DNEG is behind films including The Odyssey, Dune, Interstellar, and Inception; directed by Nitesh Tiwari, whose film Dangal remains the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide; and scored by Academy Award winners Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman.
Namit Malhotra's Ramayana: Rise of a Legend will be released globally in theaters in time for Diwali on November 5.

The Magnificence of Ramayana Has Left Me Stunned

An ancient epic follows a young prince and princess whose marriage and subsequent exile mark the beginning of a legendary journey. Their story of love, duty and destiny sets the stage for greater challenges ahead.
The classic tale of Indian mythology has been brought to life in epic grandeur. If the trailer is to be believed, it is "the greatest story of all mankind".

Already, this is giving off strong "film of the year" vibes.

I want to see Ramayana more than 90 per cent of the material churned out by Hollywood these days (which I still love, but generally lacks the calibre of magical animals. gods and monsters depicted here).

My pop culture Odyssey: a slice of super-powered geek life with heavy emphasis on pulp adventure, horror, comic books, westerns, superheroes, sci-fi, giant monsters, zombies etc
